Experience the views of coffee and sugarcane plantations along on your way to Arenal. Enroute stop in Sarchi, an artisan town, where traditional colorful oxcarts and souvenirs can be found. Majestic volcanoes, stunning river valleys, beautiful beaches is what the tour will provide you, as well as welcoming locals.

Itinerary

Day 1 –San Jose

Depart for Costa Rica. Arrive in San Jose and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day at leisure. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Drink and orientation on your Tour

Day 2 -Panoramic tour of San Jose

Today, enjoy a brief panoramic tour of San Jose, with sights of the city including historical & government buildings and the public park La Sabana. Next, depart for Arenal, enjoying the views of coffee and sugarcane plantations along the way. Enroute stop in Sarchi, an artisan town, where traditional colorful oxcarts and souvenirs can be found. If time permits there may be a visit to a local school on the way to Arenal. Later this evening after checking into your hotel, join the group for dinner at a local restaurant in Arenal

Day 3–leisure in Arenal

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Arenal, famous for the Arenal Volcano. As Costa Rica's youngest volcano, it gained international notoriety in 1968 for its sudden eruption. Perhaps spend the day on the optional full day Cano Negro Boat Tour to learn more about the flora and fauna that inhabit the area. Afterwards, consider spending the evening relaxing in one of the local hot springs.

Day 4 –Arenal to Montverde

In the morning, embark on a brisk 2 mile walking tour of the Las Coladas trail in Arenal National Park to learn more about the flora & fauna while enjoying scenic views of the volcano. At the end of the trail, you may choose to participate in a rugged hike over the ancient lava rocks before continuing to Montverde. Stop for lunch at leisure Enroute to Montverde, depending on time of arrival your guide will take you on a walk around town to familiarize yourself with the surroundings.

Day 5 – Leisure at Montverde

Enjoy this morning at leisure, or choose to participate in one of our optional tours. This stunning Cloud Forest boasts an extraordinarily diverse ecosystem, being home to 120 species of reptiles and amphibians, 130 species of mammals, and an astounding 500 species of birds, not to mention more than 3,000 species of plants. This afternoon enjoy lunch and a tour of a traditional Costa Rican coffee farm.

Day 6 –Monte Verde to San Jose

Today, travel back to Costa Rica's capital city, San Jose. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure.

Day 7 – Bye Costa Rica

Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home as your memorable trip comes to an end
